Part of Super Saturday 1st November  – celebrating the work of artist Jyll Bradley

A family ruff making workshop at The Box. Every generation was encouraged to get creative with words and paper to make their own version of the most Elizabethan fashion accessory. Marie Dunaway from Arts University Plymouth and some of her BA Costume Production students displayed some of their own Elizabethan costumes to inspire everyone. This was a chance for The Box’s younger guests to explore Elizabethan costume.

The workshop also linked to Jyll Bradley’s self-portraits, displayed as part of the Running and Returning exhibition. These photographs show Bradley  dressed as Virginia Woolf’s Orlando.
